I am an engineering student who loves two things that don’t usually go together: solving complex calculus problems and performing poetry. It might seem like an odd mix, but I believe the best engineers are the ones who can not only design complex systems but also communicate them clearly. I am currently pursuing my Associate in Engineering and Science at Wake Tech, where I’ve earned several SolidWorks certifications and built projects like a Rube Goldberg machine to test real-world physics concepts. While I finish my degree, I’m working in high-volume food service at My Way Tavern. It’s not an engineering role yet, but it has taught me how to move fast, stay reliable, and solve problems the moment they pop up—skills I know will translate into an engineering team. I am looking for an internship or entry-level role in Mechanical Engineering where I can put my CAD skills and strong work ethic to the test.
